Sociologist: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Sociology, Economics, History, or a related field from a recognized University.
Anthropologist: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Anthropology, Sociology, History, or related field from a recognized University.
Geologist: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Geology, Physical Science, or related field from a recognized University.
History: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in History from a recognized University
Mathematics: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Mathematics from a recognized University.
Linguist: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Language Studies, Sanskrit, or related fields from a recognized University.
Environmental Scientist: Candidates Should have Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from a recognized University.

Constitution and History
The state of Uttarakhand officially came into existence on November 9, 2000, following the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act, 2000. To facilitate the administrative needs of this new state, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) was constituted by the Governor under the provisions of Article 315(1) of the Constitution of India. This establishment was formalized via Notification No. 247/1-Karmik-2001 dated March 14, 2001.
