Online applications are invited from Indian Citizen for recruitment to the Post of Physicist –cumRadiation Safety Officer under Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. Advertisement No.: R/PRSO/35/2022 1. Position: Physicist –cumRadiation Safety Officer 2. No of Post: 27 3. Scale of Pay: As per WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019 in Pay Matrix Level – 16 read with F.D.Memo No.5562-F(P), dated 25.09.2019, in the corresponding Pay Band (PB-4A)of Rs.15,600 – 42,000/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400 /- as per WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2009 read with F.D.Memo No.961-F(P), dated 07.02.2011. Other allowances admissible as per Govt. Rules. 4. Qualification: a) A certificate of Radiation Safety Officer from BHABA Atomic Research Centre or Atomic Energy Regulatory Board b) PG Degree or PG Diploma in Radiological or Medical Physics of a recognized University or Institution (All Years’ Including Sup Plementary Marksheets To Be Attached) along with Masters’ Degree in Physics or Electronics or Biophysics from a recognized University (FINAL YEAR MARKSHE ET/PASSED CERTIFICATE TO BE ATTACHED) c) M.Sc. in Medical Physics from any Recognized University (All Years’ Including Sup Plementary Marksheets along with Relevant Certificates/documents To Be Attached)

Selection Procedure
A candidate should verify from the notified eligibility criteria to ascertain whether he/ she is eligible for submission of application. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed. The recruitment will be made by selection, but where if a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.
