Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Anganwadi Worker: Class 12 pass; OR Class 10 pass with an AICTE-recognised diploma course of at least two years.
• Anganwadi Helper: Class 10 pass.
• Women possessing higher educational qualifications may also apply. Merit will be based on qualifications and marks.
• Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as of the last application date. Serving Anganwadi Helpers applying for Worker posts may have an upper age limit of 43 years.
• Local Residence Requirement: The applicant must be a local resident for at least one year. For a rural Anganwadi centre, she must be a resident of the specific revenue village. A prescribed residence certificate (not older than 6 months) issued by the Mamlatdar is mandatory.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection will be made through a merit list prepared according to the Gujarat Women and Child Development Department recruitment rules. The merit list will consider the candidate's educational qualifications and marks.

• A separate online merit list will be prepared for each Anganwadi centre.
• Existing Anganwadi Helpers applying for Worker posts may receive preference as per applicable department rules.
