The Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has released Employment Notification 02/2025-26. The institute is inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for 45+ contractual positions across various disciplines including Speech Pathology, Clinical Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, and Administration.

This is a Direct Recruitment (Contractual) process based on Interview and/or Written Test/Skill Test. There is no preliminary or main competitive examination structure. Candidates possessing the required qualifications and RCI registration (where applicable) are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications. Registration with RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) is mandatory for clinical and paramedical posts unless otherwise specified.

• Assistant Professor (PMR): MBBS + PG Degree/Diploma in PMR/Pediatrics (MCI/RCI recognized) + 2 years teaching/research experience.
• Assistant Professor (Speech & Hearing): PG Degree in Speech & Hearing (RCI recognized) + RCI Registration + 5 years experience.
• Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology): M.Phil in Clinical/Rehabilitation Psychology (RCI recognized) + RCI Registration + 5 years experience.
• Assistant Professor (Special Education): Master's + M.Ed. (Special Education) (RCI recognized) + 5 years experience.
• Lecturer (Audio/Speech Pathology): M.Sc. in Speech & Hearing + 2 years experience.
• Lecturer (Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy): Master's in respective field (Full Time) + 3 years experience.
• Clinical Assistant: B.Sc. (Sp. & Hg.) or equivalent, PG Diploma, or BOT/BRS with 2 years experience + RCI Registration (if applicable).
• Special Educator: Graduation + Diploma/B.Ed./PG Diploma in Special Education + 2 years experience + RCI Registration.
• Clerk/Typist: 10+2 + Typing speed 35 wpm + Computer knowledge + 2 years experience.
• PA to Director: Degree + Shorthand 120 wpm & Typing 40 wpm.
• Computer Programmer: Master's Degree (Science/Maths/Stats/Commerce/Economics) + PG Diploma in Computer Science (60% marks) + 3 years experience.

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

Age Limit: The age limit varies by post, generally Not exceeding 56 years. Specific posts (PA, Computer Programmer, Pre-school Teacher) have lower limits (30 or 28 years). Retired Govt. Officers for specific posts can be up to 65 years.

Age Relaxation: As per Govt. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates (if applicable, though standard age limit is already high for contractual roles).

3. Mandatory Requirements

• RCI Registration: Mandatory for all posts dealing with clinical therapy, special education, and rehabilitation (where specified).
• Experience: Minimum experience ranging from 2 to 7 years depending on the post.
• Language: For Pre-school Teacher (Noida), local language knowledge is essential.

Selection Process

This is Direct Recruitment (Contractual). The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on essential qualifications and experience.
2. Written Test/Skill Test: May be conducted if number of applicants is high.
3. Interview: Final selection through an interview.

Note: Merely possessing the minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for an interview. The decision of the Competent Authority is final.

2. Fill the Form: Complete the application form in BLOCK LETTERS. Ensure it is duly signed.
3. Prepare Documents: Attach self-attested copies of:

General Instructions & Terms of Contract

• Contract Period: Initial period up to 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years.
• Leave: 1.5 days earned leave per completed month of service.
• Annual Increment: 3% annual increment allowed during the contract term.
• Termination: Either party can terminate the contract with 30 days' notice.
• TA/DA: No travel allowance will be paid for attending the interview/test.
• Canvassing: Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.
• Correspondence: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email/Speed Post.
