Allahabad University Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a JRF Position to work at the Department of Electronics and Communication, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. The project is in collaboration with Motilal NehruNational Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj and DAIICT, Gandhinagar, Gujrat. The project detail, fellowship amount and essential qualification details are given below:

1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 post

2. Title of the Project: Development of an Integrated Surveillance System for Suspicious Behaviour Analysis

3. Duration: Three Years

4. Fellowship: Rs. 31000 per month (for the first two years) Rs. 35000 per month (for the third year)

5. Essential Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. (Computer Science) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and with valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification OR B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and with valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification OR M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science)/MCA with minimum 60% marks and with valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification

6. Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Image Processing, Video Processing, Computer Vision Concepts, Expertise in Python, Graphical Use Interface development in Python, Knowledge of Machine Learning Concepts

7. Period of Appointment: This post is for duration of 3 years. The appointment will be made initially for 1 year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in the University of Allahabad. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to enroll for the Ph.D. program of the University of Allahabad as per the available guidelines of the University.

8. Job Description: Development of following modules of the system - Establishment of correspondences between different frames and multi-camera calibration, Emotion detection, Understanding and description of human behaviours, System Design aspects with GPU’s and Single Board Computers, Integration of modules and testing.

9. Other Benefits: The project also supports for attending Conferences, Workshops etc. within India. The position is based at University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, U.P. but occasional travel to collaborating institutes will be required.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their qualification, knowledge and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and the candidates are required to attend at their own expenses, no TA/DA will be provided.
