Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Nationality: Indian Citizen.
• Age Limit: 18 to 30 years as on 23 September 2026.
• Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th Standard Pass from a recognized board.
• Sports Qualification: Applicant must be a local club-level player and satisfy at least one of the following:
  • Represented a State, UT, or India in a national/international competition.
  • Won a medal in Junior National Championships, Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 years), Khelo India Winter Games, Khelo India University Games, or School Games Federation of India competition.
  • Represented a university in an Inter-University Tournament or a State/UT school team in national school sports/games.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process comprises application scrutiny, shortlisting, and Field Trials. The final merit list is based on a 100-mark evaluation:

• Criteria: Age (20 marks), Representation at National/International Level (15 marks each), Field Trials covering Fitness (20 marks), Sport-Specific Skills (20 marks), and Behavioural Attributes (10 marks).
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 50 out of 100 marks to be considered.
• Field Trials: Conducted at a Mumbai venue. Date, time, and venue will be communicated to eligible candidates via email. Candidates must attend at their own expense. No request for change will be entertained.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the field trials.

Candidates must bring original certificates and self-attested copies for verification during field trials. The application must be submitted via email with the subject line: "APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT AS GUEST PLAYER ON RETAINERSHIP BASIS - MUMBAI [CRICKET / TABLE TENNIS (MEN) / TABLE TENNIS (WOMEN)] TEAM".
