Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Kotdwara Unit, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 51 Trainee Engineer-I and Trainee Officer-I posts. Candidates with a full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in relevant engineering disciplines or an MBA (Finance)/M.Com degree can apply online. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Trainee Engineer-I (Electronics)

• Essential Qualification: Full time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) with Pass Class in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication & Telecommunication from a recognized University/Institution/College.
• Note: All degrees must be from AICTE/UGC approved colleges. Candidates must possess all years/semester mark sheets and degree certificates. In case of CGPA, a conversion certificate is required.

Eligibility for Trainee Engineer-I (Mechanical)

• Essential Qualification: Full time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) with Pass Class in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution/College.
• Note: Degrees must be from AICTE/UGC approved institutes. Mark sheets and degree certificates are mandatory.

Eligibility for Trainee Engineer-I (Civil)

• Essential Qualification: Full time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) with Pass Class in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution/College.

Eligibility for Trainee Engineer-I (Electrical)

• Essential Qualification: Full time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) with Pass Class in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institution/College.

Eligibility for Trainee Officer-I (Finance)

• Essential Qualification: Full time MBA (Finance) / M.Com course from reputed Institute/University with Pass Class.

Salary / Stipend

The Trainee Engineers and Officers will be engaged for 2 years, extendable up to 3 years based on performance. The consolidated remuneration is as follows:

• 1st Year: Rs. 30,000/- per month
• 2nd Year: Rs. 35,000/- per month
• 3rd Year (if extended): Rs. 40,000/- per month

Additional Benefits: Rs. 12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc. Area allowance (10% of remuneration) may be paid if posted outside Kotdwara.

Important Dates

Selection Process

Candidates must pre-register online for the Walk-in selection by 15-01-2026. Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Written Test on 25-01-2026 at BEL Kotdwara.

• Written Test: 90 minutes duration, 100 questions (Technical and General Aptitude).
• Marking Scheme: +1 mark for correct answer, -0.25 mark for wrong answer.
• Qualifying Marks: 35% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL; 30% for SC/ST/PwBD.
• PwBD: Eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour.
• Final Stage: Qualified candidates will be called for Document Verification based on merit.

Application Fee

• UR, EWS, OBC Candidates: Rs. 177/- (Rs. 150 + 18% GST)
• SC, ST, PwBD Candidates: Exempted from fee payment.

Age Limit

Upper age limit is 28 years for General and EWS candidates as on 01-01-2026. Relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years (in addition to category relaxation)
