Educational Qualification: Master degree in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics/ Agronomy/Soil Science/Plant Physiology/ Environmental Science/Soil and Water Conservation Engineering /Geoinformatics/Agricultural System Management/Agricultural Statistics/Computer Science/Information technology with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree, 2 years Master’s degree, NET qualification and 2 years of research experience as per rules and regulations of ICAR

The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) was established by the Government of India in 1952 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was previously known as Desert Afforestation Research Station until it was renamed in 1959.
The objectives of the Institute are to find ways to stabilizing shifting sand dunes, establishing silvi pastoral and firewood plantations, planting windbreaks to reduce wind speed and subsequent erosion, rehabilitating degraded forests and starting afforestation of barren hill slopes.
