Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Young Professional-I

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture.
• Experience: Post-qualification experience in agricultural research particularly in the area of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, or Soil Microbiology.
• Desirable Skills: Excellent English language skills in scientific writing, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others. Excellent knowledge of isolation, enumeration, and preservation of bacteria and fungi and molecular microbial taxonomy. Working knowledge of Genomic DNA extraction, Gel electrophoresis. Knowledge of handling Gel electrophoresis, PCR etc.
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years (relaxation as per rules).

Eligibility for Field Assistant

• Essential Qualification: Graduate in Science (Biology/Microbiology/Biotechnology).
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 35 years as on the date of walk-in-interview (Relaxation for SC/ST/Women and OBC candidates as per rules).

Selection Procedure

For the position of Young Professional-I, at least five applicants will be shortlisted based on their qualifying academic performance. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a panel interview. Written tests and assignments may also be conducted before the panel interview. In case of a tie, all candidates with the same marks will be considered qualified for further rounds. Candidates having more than one eligible qualification must choose only one for the selection process. Selection will be based on the weightage of marks in Qualification, Experience in the relevant field, and performance in the interview.

Terms & Conditions

• Duration: Initial engagement of YP is for one year, extendable for two more years (one year at a time). Field Assistant engagement is for 12 months, extendable for two more years (one year at a time). Position to be renewed every six months based on performance.
• TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
