Senior Research Fellowship (SRF)

Number of Vacancy: 02 Posts
Educational Qualification: Post-graduate degree in Soil Science / Soil Physics / Agricultural Chemistry / Agronomy / Environmental Science / Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Computer Science / Geoinformatics / GIS and Remote Sensing / Agricultural System Management / Information technology/related subjects of the project with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having a post-graduate degree in basic sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree, and 2 years of Master’s degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience in the related subject of the project as per rules and regulations of ICAR. Desirable qualifications Knowledge of statistical /mathematical data processing and computer programming (R/IDL/MatLab/Python) and work experience in the relevant field of the project subject area.

How to Apply:
Date of walk-in interview and venue: 11:00 AM on 11th October 2022 at Head office, Division of Natural Resources (Division I), ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur. The candidates fulfilling the qualification for the above position should bring the following documents along with bio-data on plain paper duly signed and pasted with a recent color passport size photograph on it. The candidates should appear with the following (i) Original certificate of educational qualifications and their attested copies (ii) Two testimonials of Character from two responsible gazetted officers (iii) relevant publications (iv) a brief of research work carried out during post graduations (v) No objection certificate from the employer in case of employment elsewhere (vi) Experience certificate in original if any.

The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) was established by the Government of India in 1952 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was previously known as Desert Afforestation Research Station until it was renamed in 1959.
The objectives of the Institute are to find ways to stabilizing shifting sand dunes, establishing silvi pastoral and firewood plantations, planting windbreaks to reduce wind speed and subsequent erosion, rehabilitating degraded forests and starting afforestation of barren hill slopes.
