ICAR-CAZRI Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Young Professional I & II Posts
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Young Professional (YP-I & YP-II) on a contractual basis under an externally funded project at the Division of Livestock Production and Range Management, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur. This is a temporary position strictly for the project duration ending December 2028.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Young Professional 2 (YP-2)
- Essential Qualification: First class Master's degree in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry/ Ag Chemistry/Agronomy (with thesis work).
- Desirable: Research experience in sampling and analysis of soil, plant and manures, which is evident from the relevant documents, handling of instruments, good scientific writing skills and knowledge of MS Office.
Eligibility for Young Professional 1 (YP-1)
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. Ag/B.Sc. Biochemistry/ B.Sc. Microbiology.
- Desirable: Research experience related to biochemistry and microbiology, which should be evident from the work experience from the relevant document and basic knowledge of working in MS Office.
Terms & Conditions
- Age Limit: Maximum age for YP-2 is 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC) on the last date of application.
- Duration: The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis till December 2028.
- Regular Appointment: The selected candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute.
- Documents: Candidates must submit self-attested scanned certificates from matriculation onwards, degree certificates, and a recent photograph by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment.
- Disqualification: Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Disputes: In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Jodhpur Courts only.

The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) was established by the Government of India in 1952 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was previously known as Desert Afforestation Research Station until it was renamed in 1959.
The objectives of the Institute are to find ways to stabilizing shifting sand dunes, establishing silvi pastoral and firewood plantations, planting windbreaks to reduce wind speed and subsequent erosion, rehabilitating degraded forests and starting afforestation of barren hill slopes.
