Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Essential Qualification: Master degree in Soil Science/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics/ Agronomy/ Plant Physiology/ Environmental Science/ Soil and Water Conservation Engineering with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree OR Master’s degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree, 2 years Master’s degree, NET qualification and 2 years of research experience as per rules and regulations of ICAR.
- Desirable: Knowledge of laboratory analysis soil and plant samples and basic knowledge of computer.
- Age Limit: 35 years as on date of walk-in-interview (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and women as per rules).

- The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Candidates must bring original certificates, attested copies, testimonials, publications, and relevant documents along with a bio-data.
- TA/DA will not be admissible for attending the interview.

The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) was established by the Government of India in 1952 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was previously known as Desert Afforestation Research Station until it was renamed in 1959.
The objectives of the Institute are to find ways to stabilizing shifting sand dunes, establishing silvi pastoral and firewood plantations, planting windbreaks to reduce wind speed and subsequent erosion, rehabilitating degraded forests and starting afforestation of barren hill slopes.
