CARI Bengaluru Recruitment 2026: Walk-in for 13 Consultant & Research Fellow Posts
The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Bengaluru has released a notification for the recruitment of 13 posts of Consultants, Senior Research Fellows (SRF), and Junior Research Fellows (JRF) on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with qualifications in MBBS, BAMS, M.Sc, M.Pharm, and M.A/Psychology to work with a premier institute under the Ministry of Ayush.
Recruitment Type: This recruitment is based on a Walk-in Interview process (with a potential Written Test). There is no online examination.

Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)
1. Consultant (Psychiatrist)
- Essential Qualification: MBBS, MD (Psychiatry) from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Clinical and research experience.
2. Consultant (Ayurveda)
- Essential Qualification: BAMS from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Higher qualification with at least 10 years clinical and research experience, managerial skills, ability to communicate in Kannada.
3. Senior Research Fellow (Ayurveda)
- Essential Qualification: BAMS from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Higher qualification, good computer knowledge, 2 years experience in research projects, ability to communicate in Kannada.
4. Senior Research Fellow (Clinical Psychologist)
- Essential Qualification: MA/MSc/MPhil in Psychology from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Clinical experience in children with Autism, ability to communicate in Kannada.
5. Senior Research Fellow (Chemistry)
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or M.Pharm in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry.
- Desirable: Knowledge of ASU drug standardization, analytical techniques (HPTLC/HPLC), drafting reports, computer knowledge.
6. Junior Research Fellow (Botany)
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Life Science.
- Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office).
- Nature of Work: Survey in forest areas, preparation of Herbarium sheets and Monograms.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- Age Calculation Date: 03-03-2026 (Date of Walk-in).
- Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
Selection Process
The selection for CARI Bengaluru Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in two stages:
- Written Test: Candidates may have to undergo a written test (if required).
- Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.

Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) Bengaluru is one of the peripheral Institutes of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India, New Delhi. It was established as Regional Research Centre in 1971 and subsequently, it was known as Regional Research Institute from 1999 and National Ayurveda Dietetics Research Institute from 2010 upto 2020.
The Institute consists of three divisions; viz., (1) Clinical Research unit (CRU), (2) Drug standardization Research unit (DSRU) and (3) Survey of MEDICINAL PLANTS unit (SMPU). Institute is conducting short term training programmes in basics of medicinal plant botany, pharmacognosy and chemistry. The Institute has a well-established reference library hosting around 2000 books and different scientific journals. The RARIMD is functioning successfully by rendering OPD and Panchakarma treatment service to the public. The campus also has 30 bedded Ayurveda Hospital, with Panchakarma, Yoga, Laboratory, Operation theatre, which will be functional in due course of time.
