Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the temporary positions to be engaged in various projects at CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi.

3. Salary: 42,000/-pm + HRA
4. Qualification with 55% of Marks (50% marks for SC/ST: B.E. or B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering plus four years experience in Research and Development (R&D) in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology (S&T) organisations and Scientific activities and services
5. Experience: Experience in Electrochemical processes such as electrowinning, metal extraction, electrometallurgy
6. Tenure, Project Title & Project Number: Upto 04.05.2022 Feasibility studies on the Electrochemical preparation of Potassium Perchlorate - SSP 20/21

Selection Procedure
1. Shortlisted Candidates will be called for interview through Google Meet.
2. The date and time of interview will be notified in CSIR-CECRI website and also sent to candidates’ Gmail ID.
3. Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the Online Interview through Google Meet only.
4. . In case of receipt of large number of applications from candidates, the Selection Committee shall adopt its own criteria and shortlist the candidates for online interview in proportionate to the available vacancies and the same shall be notified in CECRI website.
5. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with Google Meet code 10 minutes prior to interview in their respective Gmail ID. Shortlisted candidates will have to be readily available on the date of interview. If there is any change in date(s), the same shall be intimated to candidates by email as well as in CECRI website.

1. Last date for receipt of application 04.02.2022 upto 5.30 pm
2. Before sending application to CSIR-CECRI by post, candidates are also requested to fill their details in Google Forms Link: https://forms.gle/795b39P15HrNnSCL8
3. The Google Forms link will be automatically disabled on 04.02.2022 at 5.30 pm.
4. Any candidate registered his/her details in Google Forms without submitting hard copy of application by post to Administrative Officer, CSIR-CECRI by 04.02.2022 at 5.30pm or received thereafter will not be considered and their names will not be listed in the eligible/shortlisted candidates list.

On July 25, 1948, Karaikudi, a hitherto bleak and desolate village in Tamil Nadu, wore a festive look. A mammoth crowd of more than a lakh people gathered to witness the ushering in of a new era in Indian science. It was the day the CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI) was founded at Karaikudi. The institute took root in the patriotic fervor of RM. Alagappa Chettiar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. Shanthi Swarup Bhatnagar. Fast forward five years, on January 14, 1953, the institution became a reality when Dr. S. Radhakrishnan dedicated CSIR-CECRI, the 12th national laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), to the nation.
