Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)
- For both HC/GD and CT/GD: 18 to 23 years.
- Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) - 3 years; SC/ST - 5 years; Ex-Servicemen - as per rules.
Educational & Sports Qualification
- Head Constable (GD):
- Educational: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
- Sports: Must have represented India, a State/UT (with medals up to 3rd place), or University in specific national/international competitions as per detailed criteria.
- Constable (GD):
- Educational: Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Sports: Must have represented a State/UT, State Schools Team, or University in prescribed national/state-level competitions.
- Note: Sports achievements/certificates must be from the last two years from the advertisement publication date.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process for meritorious sportspersons will involve the following stages:
- Documentation: Verification of original documents (age, education, caste, sports).
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height & Chest measurement as per CRPF standards. Height relaxation is available for certain categories.
- Sports Trial Test: Practical assessment of sports skills by a Board of Officers. Failure leads to disqualification.
- Medical Examination: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) for those declared unfit.
- Merit List: Final merit will be prepared based on marks awarded for sports certificates/achievements (Olympics, World Championships, National Games, etc.).
Important Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.
