1. Post Name : Project Associate I 2. No of Post : 01 3. Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent 4. Desirable experience: The selected candidate will have to work on the project “Fundamental studies on designing & synthesis of multinucleating ionophores towards high lithium loading and extraction from various sources.” The candidate will be working on synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds along with photophysical studies. Prior working minimum one-year experience on organic synthesis, liquid-liquid extractions and handling of lithium compounds is desirable. 5. Fellowship: (i) Rs. 31000/- pm + HRA as per CSIR guidelines if (a) NET/GATE candidate or (b) a selection process though National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Depts. And their Agencies and Institutions, (ii) Rs. 25000/- pm + HRA as per CSIR guidelines who do not fall under (i) above 1. Post Name : Junior Research fellow 2. No of Post : 01 3. Essential Qualifications: a) Graduate (B.E./B. Tech.)/Post Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent, Preference will be given to the candidate with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering/Soil Mechanicals and Foundation engineering Specialization. b) course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 4. Fellowship:31,000/- + HRA as per guidelines of DST, New Delhi. 1. Post Name : Field Worker 2. No of Post : 01 3. Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree in Civil/ Mechanical 4. Desirable experience: The selected candidate will have to work on the DST funded project “Use of Recycled C&D waste, Fly Ash, Bottom Ash, Dredged Marine Sand and Gypsum for construction of Sustainable Salt Pan Beds for Enhancement of Salt Productivity through Prevention of Brine Percolation.” The candidate will be working on field implementation of sustainable concrete bed and testing of bed with mechanized operations loading in salt farm of CSMCRI and site at Nirma University. Prior working experience on salt farm field activities is desirable. Preference will be given to the Civil/mechanical field candidates. 5. Fellowship: 18,000+ HRA as per guidelines of DST, New Delhi.

India possesses immense potential in salt production, supported by an extensive coastline of approximately 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and the Little Rann of Kutch, and rock salt mines in Mandi. Post-independence in 1947, India faced a critical shortage of edible salt due to the partition, which severed access to Punjab's rock salt deposits and Sind's marine salt works. To address this national crisis, the Government established an inter-departmental committee under the chairmanship of Shri H.M. Patel, the then Cabinet Secretary. The committee's recommendations led to the formation of specialized bodies to investigate salt production, quality, and utilization. Consequently, the Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI) was established to foster research and development in this vital industry.
