Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Young Professional Grade-2
- A regular Degree in Law (03-year degree after Graduation or 05-year integrated degree) entitling the incumbent for Registration at Bar and appearing before the Courts with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent in CGPA) OR LLM with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent in CGPA) from any University in India or any Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- Proficiency in Computer operations.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi drafting, good analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple legal files simultaneously.
- Post-Qualification Experience: Nil (No prior experience required).
Young Professional Grade-3
- A regular Degree in Law (03-year degree after Graduation or 05-year integrated degree) entitling the incumbent for Registration at Bar and appearing before the Courts with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent in CGPA) OR LLM with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent in CGPA) from any University in India or any Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- Proficiency in Computer operations.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi drafting, good analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple legal files simultaneously.
- Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Legal Practitioner or experience in Legal Work in a Central/State Government Department, PSU, or Private Organisation.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Screening by Screening Committee: Applications will be screened by the Screening Committee constituted at Central Silk Board as per existing guidelines.
- Selection by Selection Committee: Final selection will be made by the Selection Committee to be constituted with the approval of the Competent Authority.
- Waiting List: The Selection Committee will empanel a waiting list of candidates, which will be valid for one year, apart from the finally selected candidates.
- Document Verification & Pre-Engagement Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to submit a police verification report from their concerned police station and a medical-cum-fitness certificate prior to engagement.
No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending any stage of the selection process.

Important Instructions
- The engagement of Young Professional will be purely on a contractual basis initially for a period of two years, which may be extended depending on performance evaluation.
- The Young Professional shall not have the legal status on contract basis vis-a-vis in Central Silk Board as a 'staff member' or an 'official'.
- The remuneration will be inclusive of all applicable taxes and income tax or any other tax liable to be deducted at source.
- Paid leave shall be granted at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service.
- The engagement can be terminated at any time by either Central Silk Board or the Young Professional by giving 30 days' notice or pay in lieu thereof.
- The Young Professional shall be governed by the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
