The sole vacancy is for CSB-CSGRC Hosur, Tamil Nadu – 635109, under the project titled "Development and Validation of Species Specific in vitro Regeneration and Cryopreservation Protocols for Long-term Conservation of Mulberry (Morus sp.) Germplasm" (Project Code: PIE06015SIC).

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences / Agricultural Sciences from a UGC recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
• Desirable Qualification: Specialisation in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Genetic Resources, or Plant Science. Working experience in Plant Tissue Culture, Cryopreservation, and Molecular Analysis will be preferred.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Selection will be based on a Walk-In Interview held on 14 October 2026.
• Shortlisted candidates will proceed to document verification during the interview.
• No TA/DA will be provided to candidates appearing for the interview.
• Recruitment procedures follow the Guidelines of Central Silk Board for hiring of Research Fellow (JRF/SRF/RA) under CSB-coded R&D projects.
