Work Description

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Junior Research Fellow – Project PPF09009MNC
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences – Sericulture, Agronomy, Entomology, Zoology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum Marks: 60% marks in M.Sc. (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Junior Research Fellow – Project BPS09010MNC
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences – Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Food Science, Sericulture, or related disciplines.
- Minimum Marks: 60% marks in M.Sc. (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit & Relaxation
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on the date of the notification.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and Women candidates.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- The selection of eligible candidates will be through a direct walk-in interview held at ISTR, Kodathi, Bangalore on 27 October 2026 at 09:30 AM.
- Candidates must produce provisional or degree certificates and mark sheets for all semesters (including the final semester) of M.Sc., or consolidated mark sheets, to be eligible for the interview.
- All original supporting documents must be presented for verification at the time of the interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in interview.
- The decision of the Director, NSSO shall be final and binding in all respects.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
