Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited invites applications through Walk-in selection for filling up of the following workmen posts on contract basis at Kolkata. Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) shall coordinate all recruitment related activities on behalf of HCSL. However, appointment to all posts in HCSL shall be done by the Competent Authority of HCSL and CSL does not assume any responsibility/liability regarding appointment/ postings/service conditions of the selected candidates.
1. Name of posts: Welder on contract basis
2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 2 posts (UR)
3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Welder.
4. Experience:
a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

4. Experience:
a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.
b) Desirable: a) Experience as operator / commissioning engineer in Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of Milling / Drilling Machines. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

4. Experience:
a) Essential: Minimum of three years experience in rigging of which two years experience shall be in rigging of heavy duty machine parts/ship’s hull/machinery and equipment etc in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair company or Engineering/ Logistics Company or Government or SemiGovernment Company/ Establishment.
b) Desirable: a)Splicing work of wire ropes. b)Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments. c) Excellent hearing vision. d)Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

3. Educational Qualification: a) Diploma in Nursing from an Institution recognized by Nursing Council of India. OR B.Sc. (Nursing) from an Institution recognized by Nursing Council of India. b) Valid registration under the State Nursing Council.
4. Experience:
a) Essential: (i)For those with Diploma qualification Minimum three years post qualification clinical experience in any government or private hospital. (ii) For those with B.Sc. qualification Minimum two years post qualification clinical experience in any government or private hospital.
b) Desirable: a) Experience in an Industrial establishment. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.
Pay Scale: INR 22100 - 25900(Per Month)

Selection Procedure
a) Candidates meeting the requirements shall attend a Walk-in selection to be held from 09th February 2021 to 11th February 2021 from 09:00AM to 02:00PM at Don Bosco Technical Institute, 23 Darga Road, Park Circus, Kolkata - 700017.
b) The method of selection and weightages assigned for the final selection are as under:
i. For the posts at 1 to 11 (Welders, Fitters, Operators etc) :- The method of selection shall be through Practical test. Accordingly, weightages are assigned to the following parameters for final selection: ITI (NTC) Marks : 20 %, Practical Test : 80 % (Based on grades obtained in the test) Total :100%
ii. For Semi Skilled Rigger on contract basis, the method of selection shall be through Practical test which shall be given 100% weightage (based on grades obtained in the test) and marks awarded accordingly.
iii. For Driver (Ambulance & other Vehicles) on contract basis:- The method of selection shall include an Objective type test and Practical Test. Accordingly, weightages are assigned to the following parameters for final selection: Objective type test : 30 % Practical Test : 70 % (Based on grades obtained in the test) Total :100%
iv. For the posts at 14 to 20 (Nurse, Personal Secretary, Project Assistant) :- The method of selection for the posts shall be through Objective Type test and Descriptive Type Test which shall be conducted out of 100 marks and marks awarded accordingly as under:- Objective Type Test - 80 Marks, Descriptive Type Test - 20 Marks Total - 100 marks
v. Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Objective and Descriptive Type Test, post wise merit lists shall be prepared. The candidates shall be further short listed for appointment based on the marks secured in the Objective and Descriptive Type Test, in the order of merit, subject to Medical Fitness. In case, same marks secured by more than one candidate, marks scored in the Discipline part of the Objective Type Test shall be the basis of determining the order of merit list. In case of a tie thereafter, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.
c) Candidates are requested to report for Walk in selection at the above venue on given dates within the stipulated time after which candidates shall not be permitted.
d) Candidates who attend the walk-in selection, who are short-listed based on the eligibility requirements, and successfully complete the certificate verification shall only be allowed to attend the selection tests. Depending on the number of short-listed candidates, the selection tests shall be held on the same day or on next / later dates, as informed separately to the short-listed candidates.
e) CSL on behalf of HCSL reserves the right to fix minimum marks for pass in the tests at its sole discretion.

b) Application Form must be complete in all respects as per the Advertisement Notification. Please note that incomplete and unsigned applications shall not be considered. Filling of garbage/junk details in any of the fields can lead to rejection of your application.
c) Original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, experience, caste etc and selfattested copies of all these certificates, should be produced for verification prior to the selection and their candidature shall be considered on the strength of the original certificates. In case of failure to produce the original certificates, the candidature shall be rejected.
