Educational Qualification: B.A, BCA, B.B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, Diploma, ITI, 10TH, M.Com, 4th

Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited invites applications through Walk-in selection for filling up of the following workmen posts on contract basis at Kolkata. Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) shall coordinate all recruitment related activities on behalf of HCSL. However, appointment to all posts in HCSL shall be done by the Competent Authority of HCSL and CSL does not assume any responsibility/liability regarding appointment/ postings/service conditions of the selected candidates.

1. Name of posts: Welder on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 2 posts (UR)

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Welder.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Fitter on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 1 post (UR)

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI- NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker or Fitter.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Diesel Mechanic on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 01

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanic Diesel.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Fitter (Electrical) on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 05

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electrician.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Fitter (Pipe) on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 02

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Fitter Pipe/Plumber.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Draughtsman (Civil) on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 01

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Draughtsman (Civil).

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: a) Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Operator (Milling & Drilling) on contract basis

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 01

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI –NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Machinist.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

b) Desirable: a) Experience as operator / commissioning engineer in Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of Milling / Drilling Machines. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Semi Skilled Rigger on contract

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 02

3. Educational Qualification: Pass in IV Std

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: Minimum of three years experience in rigging of which two years experience shall be in rigging of heavy duty machine parts/ship’s hull/machinery and equipment etc in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair company or Engineering/ Logistics Company or Government or SemiGovernment Company/ Establishment.

b) Desirable: a)Splicing work of wire ropes. b)Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments. c) Excellent hearing vision. d)Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

1. Name of posts: Nurse on contract basis Note:- Only Male candidates shall apply

2. No. of Vacancies/ Reservation: 01

3. Educational Qualification: a) Diploma in Nursing from an Institution recognized by Nursing Council of India. OR B.Sc. (Nursing) from an Institution recognized by Nursing Council of India. b) Valid registration under the State Nursing Council.

4. Experience: 

a) Essential: (i)For those with Diploma qualification Minimum three years post qualification clinical experience in any government or private hospital. (ii) For those with B.Sc. qualification Minimum two years post qualification clinical experience in any government or private hospital.

b) Desirable: a) Experience in an Industrial establishment. b) Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.
