Educational Qualification: a) Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
b) Certificate of Competency (COC) issued or recognised by DGS, Government of India, as Marine Engineer Officer Class I (MEO Class I)- Unlimited Horse Power.
Experience: i) Essential :- Should have sailed as Chief Engineer on Indian or Foreign going Ships.
ii) Desirable :-
a) Candidates who have teaching experience in DGS approved Institutes.
b) Done a “Vertical Integration Course on Training (VICT)” or “Training for Trainers and Assessors (TOTA)” course prior to 1st Oct 2018 conducted by DGS approved Institutes.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/ walkin interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the given criteria.
How to Apply:
1. Applicants meeting the requirements shall attend Walk in selection, for the post from 0900 Hrs to 1300 Hrs on 21 June 2022, and submit the applications in the prescribed format along with the self-attested copies of certificates in the drop boxes provided at Visitor’s Facilitation Centre, Ravipuram Gate, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi – 682015. Application format is given along with this advertisement on our website www.cochinshipyard.in(Career page - CSL, Kochi).
2. The applications shall be verified subsequently and candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification and shortlisted, shall only be allowed to attend the Personal Interview on subsequent dates, which shall be communicated separately to the short-listed candidates through e-mail / CSL website.
3. Application submitted in any other mode shall not be accepted. Application once submitted shall be final.
4. Application Form must be complete in all respects as per the Advertisement Notification. Please note that incomplete and unsigned applications shall not be considered. Filling of garbage/junk details in any of the fields can lead to rejection of your application.
5. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, not legible, without the required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
6. Original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, experience, caste etc and self-attested copies of all these certificates should be produced for certificate verification during the walk-in selection, failing which they shall not be permitted to attend the interview.
