About Department of Governance Reforms Punjab

The Department of Governance Reforms a model society for the State Government so that e-Governance takes initiatives in various departments.By the implementation of these society, the Punjab State e-Governance Society (PSEGS), the Department of Governance changes the execution if different e-Governance projects which are under the National e-Governance Programme (NeGP) and alos under the State e-Governance programme so that it improves the delivery service to the public. The functions of Department of Governance Reforms are to control the reorganization and streamlining by administration, to improve the office process etc.

The Department of Governance Reforms is located in Punjab. It was established for the improvement of the internal government by bringing an introduction that changes the current system of government and to achieve good government by using Information Technology (IT) tools.For the assistance to the department the three key commissions which are the Punjab Governance Reforms Commission (PGRC), Punjab Right to Service Commission(PRTSC) and Punjab Right to Information Commission (PRTIC) have to brought under one roof, having an aim towards the growth and development of the state.
