3. Vacancy Details (Area-Wise)

Nature of Engagement: Voluntary service; not a regular government post. Honorarium is paid Rs. 750/- per day only for specific days when work is assigned (as per NALSA PLV Scheme).

4. Eligibility Criteria

4.1 Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification: Matric (10th Pass) from a recognized board.
• Preference will be given to candidates actively engaged in social service, legal awareness, SHGs, NGOs, etc.
• Categories eligible: Teachers (including retired), retired government servants, senior citizens, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students, NGO/club members, SHG members, Jeevika/mitra group members.
• Advocates are NOT eligible to apply for PLV positions.

4.2 Age Limit & Requirements

• Specific Age Limit: Not prescribed. However, applicant must be physically and mentally fit.
• Residency: Must be a resident of Samastipur District.
• Character: Must be of good character. No criminal or civil case should be pending against the applicant, and they must not have been convicted by any court.

5. Selection Process

The selection will be conducted by the DLSA Samastipur as per NALSA PLV Scheme guidelines. It is not exam-based.

1. Scrutiny of Applications: Checking of prescribed format and documents.
2. Shortlisting: Based on eligibility, local residence, and social service interest.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview and interaction at DLSA Samastipur.
4. Final Panel: Preparation of the final list of selected PLVs. The panel will be valid for one year.

6. Application Fee
