Educational Qualification:
Senior Environmental Engineer: Master's degree in Engineering* in related field, from a recognized University or Institution with ten years' experience in pollution control or related field subject to after acquiring the Master's Degree.
Environmental Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Engineering* in related field, from a recognized University or Institution with eight years' experience in pollution control or related field subject to after acquiring the Bachelor's Degree. or Master's degree in Engineering* in related field, from a recognized University or Institution with six years' experience in pollution control or related field subject to after acquiring the Master's Degree.
Assistant Environmental Engineer: Degree in Engineering @ in related field, from a recognized University or Institution with two years experience in pollution control / related field. or Master's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
Senior Scientist L-I (Scientist-C): Master's degree in Science and having atleast eight years of experience in pollution control or related subjects.
Scientist-B: Master's degree in Science and having atleast three years' experience in pollution control or related subjects.
Scientific Assistant: Bachelor degree in science and experience in laboratory works.
Senior Lab Assistant: Officers of Central/State Government /Union Territory/Recognized Research Institute/ Autonomous bodies/Statutory Bodies/PSUs.
Assistant Law Officer:
(i) Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institution.
(ii) Four years' experience as Legal practitioner, or four year experience in handling legal work in a Government Department / PSUs/ Autonomous bodies/ Statutory bodies.
Legal Assistant: Degree in Law from a recognized University.
Programmer: Master's degree in Computer application/Computer Science or M.Tech (with specialization in computer application or BE/B.Tech in Computer Engg./Computer Science/Computer Technology of a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale:
INR
35400-209200/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 50 Years.

Under Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 6 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is empowered to perform the functions of the State Pollution Control Board for all Union Territories. However, Section 4(4) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 6 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 provides that CPCB may delegate all or any of its powers and functions of a State Board in a UT under the said Acts to such person or body of persons as the Central Government may specify. The CPCB has delegated all its powers and functions as a State Board in respect of the UT of Delhi to a committee of officials as specified by the Central Government in March, 1991. This committee has been reconstituted on 14th June 2002 vide notification No. B-12015/7/92-AS.
