Sports Quota Notification No: RRC/ER/Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) 2021-2022.
ONLINE Applications are invited from the eligible and meritorious Sports Persons as per criteria given below, for filling up of 21 (Twenty one) posts in following categories in Eastern Railway:-
1. POSTS in 7th CPC: Group ‘C’, Level-4/ Level-5 (7th CPC) (GP Rs. 2400/2800/- 6 th CPC), Group ‘C’ Level-2/ Level-3 (7th CPC) (GP Rs.1900/2000/- 6 th CPC)
2. Details Of Posts:
a. Any of the Level-4/5 posts in any of the Units of Eastern Railway
b. Any of the Level-2/3 posts in any of the Units of Eastern Railway
4. Category-1: PB-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with GP Rs. 2400 or 2800 (Level-4 OR level-5 of Pay matrix as per 7th CPC)
5. Category-2: PB-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with GP Rs. 1900 or 2000 (Level-2 OR level-3 of Pay matrix as per 7th CPC)
6. Minimum prescribed Educational Qualification
a. Passed Graduation or its equivalent examination in any discipline from a Govt. recognized university
b. Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. Educational qualification must be from a Govt. recognized Board/Council.
7. Note: - For appointment against sports quota in Technician-III, the minimum educational qualification is 10th pass. However, the training period for such Sports Quota appointees will be 03 (Three) years, unless they pass / possess ITI qualification in the relevant Trade, in which case it will be 6 months.

Selection Procedure
i. The recruitment will be based on trials & assessment of recognized sports achievements as per norms, Educational Qualifications, etc. The candidates, who are found FIT in trials, only will be considered for next stage.
ii. The e-call letter for recruitment process would be available for online download on RRC/ER’s website only for 20 days before the Trial date. Call letter would not be sent by post. The candidates are hereby instructed to be in readiness for recruitment process and treat it as a notice for the same. The candidates are instructed to check the website of RRC/ER regularly, henceforth upto finalization of recruitment process.
How to Apply:
i) Candidates should ensure that their Name/Spelling, Father’s Name/Spelling, Community details, Educational Qualification and Date of Birth match with the entries recorded in Matriculation or equivalent certificate. In case there is significant deviation/difference in the Name/Spelling/Dates etc. in the documents of the candidate then his/her candidature will be cancelled from the day the discrepancy is noticed. No claim would be entertained in this regard. Hence candidates are advised to thoroughly check their documents.
ii) Eligible candidates are required to go to the link provided for filling ONLINE application through website of RRC/ER (www.rrcer.com) and fill up the personal details/BIO-DATA carefully.
iii) Candidates are advised to indicate their personal mobile no. and personal valid e-mail IDs in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire recruitment process for communicating with them
