Educational Qualification: M.Sc
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for engagement on Contractual Basis for the below mentioned posts for Kamrup DLL under Jal Jeevan Mission , DWSM, Guwahati as per terms & conditions as follows:-
1. Name of post: Microbiologist
2. Qualification: M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biological Sciences from a recognized University or Institute. Must be computer literate & should have knowledge of MS- Office, Internet, Email etc.
3. Monthly Remuneration ( Inclusive of all incentives and erks Rs. 30,000/- P.M. (Rupees thirty thousand only)
4. Duty Station: The selected Microbiologist (s) will be stationed at the SRL and at the different DLL of PHED, Assam located at the different districts.
5. Reporting: The Microbiologist (s) will report to the District Mission Director JJM cum Executive Engineer (PHE) at the district level and to the Chief Water Analyst (PHE), cum Deputy Director-wQMSP, JM or SPSwQMS, JM, Assam at the state level.
6. Experience: minimum 2 years' experience as Microbiologist in Water Testing Laboratories or 3 years' experience in any laboratory related activities such as: a) Work experience in any Govt. organization like Medical College, Universities, Research Institute, Govt Laboratories of other departments like pollution control Board of Assam, Central Ground Water Board, Drug & Food safety department, Directorate of Forensic Science, Assam, and State Public Health Laboratory. b) Work experience in reputed Hospitals or private laboratories. The laboratories should be recognized by Director of Health Services. Candidates having work experience from NABL accredited laboratories will be given preference.

Selection Procedure
1. Advertisement in at least two local newspapers (English and Assamese/Bengali) regarding the vacancy wherein required educational qualification, remuneration and other conditions must be mentioned. Form a panel with the following members. a. Chairman DWSM or his representative b. Executive Engineer, PHED of the concerned Division C. Domain expert froma College of repute nominated by Chairman, DWSM d. AEE (PHE) of the concerned Sub-Division. e. AEE-TC (PHE) of the concerned Division.
2. The panel will finalize the mode of recruitment and record it on the minutes of the meeting
3. Evaluate the skills of the candidates based on merit giving due weightage to academic record and limit marks in an interview to 40 %.
4. Prepare the Merit List and take approval accordingly from the DWSC.
5. The approved selected list along with minutes of the selection process should be submitted to the Mission Directorate for approval and inclusion the selected candidate in the payroll. The bills and vouchers of the same must be maintained properly at your end for further audit of the same
