Eligibility Criteria

Driver Post

  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 pass with Punjabi/Hindi as one of the subjects in the matriculation examination.
  • Driving Licence: Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) licence. No presumption of eligibility to drive LMV will be drawn from any other higher category endorsed on the licence.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience of driving a car.
  • Other Condition: Should not have been convicted of any offence for negligent driving.

Frash Post

  • Qualification: Knowledge of Hindi and regional language. No formal educational qualification has been prescribed.

Age Limit (Both Posts): Minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 18.09.2026.

Age Relaxation: For Ex-Servicemen, upper age limit relaxed by number of years equal to their defence service plus 3 years.

Selection Process

Driver Post

  • Shortlisting: Any suitable shortlisting criteria may be adopted depending on the number of applications received, which will be communicated through a public notice.
  • Practical Test-cum-Interview: Selection shall be made on the basis of performance in the Practical Test-cum-Interview.
  • Trial Period: Selected candidates will first be required to work on a trial period, remunerated as per daily-wager rates, and will be considered for appointment only after successful completion of this trial period.
  • No Right to Appointment: Mere selection through the Practical Test-cum-Interview does not confer any right to claim appointment.

Frash Post

  • Interview: Performance in Interview of 50 marks (25 marks for Suitability to the Job and 25 marks for Etiquettes/Manners).
  • Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates equivalent to 4 times the advertised vacancies (category-wise), in order of Interview merit, will be called for PET, which is qualifying in nature.
  • PET Events: 800 metre Race, Long Jump, and High Jump (qualifying parameters vary by age and gender).
  • Final Selection: Final list of provisionally selected candidates (category-wise) will be prepared strictly on the basis of Interview merit, from among those who qualify the PET.
