Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Sr. Medical Officer (Orthopaedics)

• Essential: MBBS + Post Graduate Degree / DNB in relevant specialization with 0 year post-qualification experience; OR MBBS + Post Graduate Diploma in relevant specialization with 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience: Post-qualification experience refers to experience after acquiring the professional qualification (in relevant specialization) only. If applicants possess MBBS + PG Diploma and are working in CPSUs / State or Central Govt organizations, they should have minimum one-year experience in the next below grade or in equivalent post.
• Desirable: Refer to official notification

Eligibility for Sr. Medical Officer (General Medicine)

• Essential: MBBS + Post Graduate Degree / DNB in relevant specialization with 0 year post-qualification experience; OR MBBS + Post Graduate Diploma in relevant specialization with 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience: Post-qualification experience refers to experience after acquiring the professional qualification (in relevant specialization) only. If applicants possess MBBS + PG Diploma and are working in CPSUs / State or Central Govt organizations, they should have minimum one-year experience in the next below grade or in equivalent post.
• Desirable: Refer to official notification

General Eligibility (Applicable to both posts)

• All qualifications must have been acquired from Indian Universities/Institutes recognized by appropriate statutory authorities.
• The candidate should have registered his/her qualification with any State Medical Council under National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Candidates possessing Basic and Qualifying Degrees acquired through Regular/Full-Time courses only will be considered; qualifications acquired through Correspondence/Distance Education/Part Time/E-learning are not eligible.

Salary Details

• Basic Pay: Grade-III – Rs. 50000 - 3% - 160000.
• Dearness Allowance (IDA): 51.8% of Basic Pay (current).
• Perquisites & Allowances: 35% of running Basic Pay.
• Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA): 20% of running Basic Pay.
• Special Compensatory Allowance (SCA): 10% of pre-revised Basic Pay.
• Performance Related Pay (PRP): Up to 20% of Annual Basic Pay.
• Other Benefits: Rent-free accommodation, PF, Gratuity, Pension, Medical facilities, Uniform, etc.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years for Un-Reserved (UR)/General category candidates as on 31-01-2026.
• Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), PwBD (10 years over SC/ST/OBC), J&K Domicile (5 years), Ex-Servicemen.
• Maximum age limit with all relaxations shall not exceed 55 years (56 years for PwBD).

Application Fee

• SC / PwBD: Exempted.
• OBC (NCL): Rs. 500/- (bank charges extra).
• Payment Mode: Offline (Demand Draft) or Online (SBI Collect).

2. Fill in all relevant details, affix photograph, and sign the form.
3. Send the completed application via Post/Courier to the Chief Manager (HR), R & P Section, HAL, Koraput Division, Sunabeda, Odisha, Pin-763002.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents.
5. Applications must reach on or before 31-01-2026.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on initial screening and personal interview. Shortlisting will be done in the ratio of 1:10 based on qualifications and Post Professional Qualification Experience (PPQE). Final selection will be based on interview performance.
