Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has released a notification for the recruitment of faculty members. IIM Bodh Gaya is looking for dedicated and committed faculty members who believe in institution building and have passion for excellence. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to make relevant intellectual contribution to experienced and potential managers through teaching, training research and published work.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Professor (Academic Level 14A)
- Essential: Ph.D. with 10 years of experience out of which 4 years should be as Associate Professor. First Class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s Degree with a consistently good academic record. Minimum eight ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 and 6 ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or two ABDC-A/ABS-4 and 4 ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or three ABDC-A/ABS-4 and 2 ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or four ABDC-A/ABS-4 publications, indexed in either WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: 10 years total, 4 years as Associate Professor.
- Desirable: A book published by reputed publisher. One case along with teaching note published in Harvard Case Publishing/Richard Ivey/Emerald. Minimum (preference) two FPM/Ph.D. guided. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Associate Professor (Academic Level 13A2)
- Essential: Ph.D. with six years of experience out of which 3 years post Ph.D. experience should be as Assistant Professor or equivalent. First class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s degree. Minimum five ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or two ABDC-A/ABS-4 and one ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 and three ABDC-B/ ABS-3 publications, indexed in either WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: 6 years post-Ph.D.
- Desirable: A book published by reputed publisher. One case along with teaching note published in Harvard Case Publishing/Richard Ivey/Emerald. Preference for FPM/Ph.D. guided. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Academic Level 13A1)
- Essential: Ph.D. with five years of experience out of which 3 years post Ph.D. experience should be as Assistant Professor or equivalent. First class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s degree. Minimum four ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or two ABDC-A/ABS-4 or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 and two ABDC-B/ ABS-3 publications, indexed in either WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: 5 years post-Ph.D.
- Desirable: A book published by reputed publisher. One case along with teaching note published in Harvard Case Publishing/Richard Ivey/Emerald. Preference for FPM/Ph.D. guided/TAC membership. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Assistant Professor, Grade I (Academic Level 12)
- Essential: Ph.D. with three years of experience excluding Ph.D. experience. First class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s Degrees. Minimum three ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 and one ABDC-B/ ABS-3 publications, indexed in either WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: 3 years (excluding Ph.D.).
- Desirable: One case along with teaching note published in Harvard Case Publishing/Richard Ivey/Emerald. A book published by reputed publisher. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Assistant Professor, Grade II (Academic Level 11)
- Essential: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with more than one year of post-Ph.D. experience. First-class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s, Graduation, Class XII, and Class X. Minimum two ABDC-B/ ABS-3 or one ABDC-A/ABS-4 publications, indexed in either WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: More than 1 year post-Ph.D.
- Desirable: One case along with teaching notes published in Harvard Case Publishing / Richard Ivey / Emerald. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Assistant Professor, Grade II (Academic Level 10)
- Essential: Fresh Ph. D. in the appropriate branch with less than one year of post-Ph.D. experience. First-class (Min 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s, Graduation, Class XII, and Class X. Minimum of one publication in an ABDC-B / ABS-3 category journal indexed in WOS or Scopus.
- Experience: Less than 1 year post-Ph.D.
- Desirable: Two or more publications. Ph.D. and/or teaching/research experience from AACSB/AMBA-BGA/EFMD-EQUIS accredited institutes.
Eligibility for Professor/Associate Professor of Practice (Academic Level 14A/13A2)
- Essential: Minimum 20 years substantial experience in industry or government with demonstrated understanding of and impact on practice. Must have interest and potential to teach Leadership Development Program (LDP) courses as full-time activity.
- Experience: Minimum 20 years.
- Desirable: Ph.D. (desirable but not essential). Domain knowledge obtained from the ‘field’.
Salary / Pay & Allowances
- Professor: Rs. 1,59,100 - 2,20,200 (Level 14A)
- Associate Professor: Rs. 1,39,600 - 2,11,300 (Level 13A2)
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Rs. 1,31,400 - 2,04,700 (Level 13A1) / Rs. 1,01,500 - 1,67,400 (Level 12)
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Rs. 68,900 – 1,17,200 (Level 11) / Rs. 57,700 – 98,200 (Level 10)
- Professor of Practice: Rs. 1,59,100 - 2,20,200 (Level 14A)
- Associate Professor of Practice: Rs. 1,39,600 - 2,11,300 (Level 13A2)
- The pay carries all other allowances such as DA, HRA/Leased Accommodation, LTC, Medical re-imbursement, Children Education Allowance, NPS, re-imbursement of telephone bills, incentive for research publications, faculty development fund for attending national and international conferences, membership of professional bodies etc. as per IIM Bodh Gaya Rules.

- Selection will be based on Interview.
- Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to make relevant intellectual contribution to experienced and potential managers through teaching, training research and published work.
- In case of overwhelming applications, the Screening Committee might use academic/ publication/work- experience parameters as criteria for raising the bar and optimizing the application pool.
- Mere fulfillment of the above-mentioned qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
- Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy, may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable.
