Educational Qualification:
a) Any Indian citizen who has completed his ITI from a government recognized institute, in the specified TRADE (full time regular course only) and completed in the last three years (passed out in 2020 or after) can apply.
b) Candidates whose “contract ID” has already been created in line with the Apprenticeship Act 1961, during their apprenticeship training at some other organizations are not eligible.

Pay Scale:
INR
7000-7700/- Per Month

Age Limit: 18-28 Years.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained during ITI, in the specified category & trade. In case there is a tie between the applicants in their aggregate marks, the older candidate will be given the preference.

The Indian Iron & Steel Company (IISCO), a SAIL subsidiary, was amalgamated with SAIL on 16th February 2006 and renamed IISCO Steel Plant (ISP). This integrated steel plant is one of the oldest in the country. It was established as an industrial enterprise in 1918, IISCO produced iron from an open-top blast furnace at Hirapur (later to be called Burnpur) in West Bengal for the first time in 1922. The plant manufactures a range of products, over some of which it holds exclusive market dominance. It produces the finest quality of Iron & steel.
After undergoing a modernisation-cum-expansion programme, the saleable steel capacity of the plant has been raised to 2.5 million tonnes per year.

IISCO Steel Plant Burnpur is situated at a distance of about 200 km's from Kolkata in Burnpur on the banks of the Damodar river in West Bengal.

Despite growth plans, however, a combination of factors drove the company into stagnation and decline, resulting in the lack of investment in technology up gradation. IISCO was nationalised in 1972 and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIL in 1979.
