Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Agniveervayu (Science Subjects)

  • Essential: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • Alternative 1: Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
  • Alternative 2: Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from recognised Education Boards with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Eligibility for Agniveervayu (Other than Science Subjects)

  • Essential: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • Alternative: Passed two years Vocational Course from recognised Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

General Eligibility & Requirements

  • Age Limit: Born between 01/01/2006 and 01/07/2009 (Inclusive). Maximum age at enrolment is 21 years.
  • Marital Status: Only Unmarried candidates (Male & Female).
  • Physical Standards: Height: Min 152 cms, Weight: Proportionate, Chest: Min 77 cms with 5 cms expansion (Male), Min 5 cms expansion (Female). Vision: 6/12 correctable to 6/6.
  • Note: Exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal shall only be considered (e.g., 49.99% is treated as 49%).

Salary Structure

  • 1st Year: ₹30,000/- (In Hand: ₹21,000/- + Corpus: ₹9,000/-)
  • 2nd Year: ₹33,000/- (In Hand: ₹23,100/- + Corpus: ₹9,900/-)
  • 3rd Year: ₹36,500/- (In Hand: ₹25,550/- + Corpus: ₹10,950/-)
  • 4th Year: ₹40,000/- (In Hand: ₹28,000/- + Corpus: ₹12,000/-)
  • Seva Nidhi: ~₹10.04 Lakhs package after 4 years (Candidate + Govt contribution).
  • Benefits: Risk/Hardship allowances, Ration, Clothing, Accommodation, LTC, and Life Insurance of ₹48 Lakhs.

Selection Process

  1. Phase-I (Online Test): Objective type test (Bilingual - English & Hindi).
    • Science Subjects: 60 mins (Physics, Math, English).
    • Non-Science: 45 mins (English, RAGA).
    • Both: 85 mins (Physics, Math, English, RAGA).
  2. Phase-II (ASC): Document Verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Tests.
  3. Phase-III (Medical): Medical examination by IAF Medical Team.
