Educational Qualification & Experience:Matriculation (10th) pass or equivalent from a recognised Education Board. No prior experience is required.
Skills:Physical fitness, ability to perform hospitality/housekeeping tasks, basic communication skills.
Age Limit:Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible. The upper age limit on the date of enrolment must not exceed 22 years.
Salary (per month):
Agniveer Package: 1st Year: ₹30,000, 2nd Year: ₹33,000, 3rd Year: ₹36,500, 4th Year: ₹40,000 (includes 30% contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund).
Selection Procedure:
- Phase I – Written Test: General English (15 marks) and General Knowledge (15 marks) at Class 10 level. Minimum 5 marks per subject and 15/30 overall to qualify.
- Phase II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Height check (min 152 cm) → 1.6 km run in 7 minutes → 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 20 squats within stipulated time.
- Phase III – Stream Suitability Test (SST): Qualifying test assessing aptitude for Hospitality or Housekeeping stream.
- Phase IV – Medical Examination: As per IAF medical standards.

Important Medical Standards (Mandatory)
- Height: Minimum 152 cm
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Visual Acuity: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye; Colour Vision CP-III
- Refractive Error: Not exceeding ±3.5 D including astigmatism
- Hearing: Should hear forced whisper from 6 metres with each ear separately
- Dental: Healthy gums, minimum 14 dental points
- Body Tattoo: Permanent tattoos not permitted, except on inner forearm, back of hand, or per tribal custom.
