The Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), under the Ministry of Mines, has invited applications for the post of Principal Private Secretary on a deputation basis. This is a single vacancy in Pay Level-10. Eligible officers from Central/State Governments or Union Territory Administrations can apply.

Eligibility:

• Source: Officers under the Central Government, State Government, or Union Territory Administration.
• Experience & Pay Level (Essential - (a)):
  • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department, OR
  • With four years of regular service in Pay Level-9 (₹53,100 - ₹1,67,800) or equivalent.
• Qualifications (Essential - (b)):
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Three years of experience in taking dictation and transcription, stenography, handling confidential matters/complaints, maintenance of Confidential Report dossiers, arranging conferences/delegations/meetings, and day-to-day general administration.

Experience:Specific experience as mentioned above (3 years in relevant secretarial and administrative duties).

Skills:Stenography, dictation and transcription, handling confidential matters, organizing meetings/conferences, administrative and secretarial skills.

Age Limit (as on the last date of receipt of applications):Not exceeding 56 years.

Salary:




Pay Level-10 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500).

Selection Procedure: Deputation basis. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

Important Terms & Conditions

• Deputation Period: Initially for 03 years, with a possibility of further extension based on requirement and NOC from the parent department.
• Premature Reversion: The officer may be considered for premature reversion to the parent cadre by serving a 03 months advance notice.
• Eligibility Notes:
  • Departmental officers in the feeder grade who are in the direct line of promotion are not eligible for consideration on deputation.
  • Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
• Job Role: The Principal Private Secretary is responsible for dictation/transcription, handling confidential matters, organizing conferences/meetings, maintaining contact with the Ministry and various organizations, handling parliamentary business, maintaining files, and overseeing daily administration.
• Application Process: The application containing bio-data must be sent in triplicate.
