IIT Dharwad Invites Application for JRF Recruitment 2021

IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance created by an Act of Parliament in 2016. IIT Dharwad has been steadily establishing its operations in its present campus while at the same time, master plan development and construction of permanent campus infrastructure are also in progress. To cater the Institute’s temporary requirement under a project in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering; IIT Dharwad intends to hold a selection process for the following temporary position:

1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (On Contract)

2. No. of Post: 01

3. Essential Qualification: Candidates need to satisfy the following two criteria: Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering (or related streams) Qualified in any of the following National eligibility test/exam: GATE CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) National-level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc

4. Desirable Qualification: Exposure to computer networks Programming skills in C and Python Work from home may be permitted on a temporary basis with the prior approval of the competent authority.

5. Consolidated Emoluments ₹31,000/- + 16% House Rent Allowance per month

6. Duration of the tenure Initially for 1 year; extendible up to project completion

7. Tenure of appointment The appointment for the above contractual position will be initially for a period of 01 year, which may be further extended or curtailed, based on the performance of the candidate, availability of funds in the project, and requirement in the project.

Selection Procedure

Mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility will not bestow the right for shortlisting, IIT Dharwad reserves the right to screen and shortlist candidates by introducing higher benchmarks.
