IUAC Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

Total Posts: 08. Of the 5 Scientist-C vacancies, 2 are on anticipated basis and 1 on lien basis. Initial appointment as Scientist Trainee with stipend of Rs. 55,000/- for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Scientist-C: M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with minimum 60% marks from Class X onwards. Desirable: computer proficiency.
• Junior Engineer-C: Diploma in Electronics with minimum 60% marks. Desirable: 3 years experience in R&D institution.
• Library Assistant-C: B.Lib. with B.Sc. and 4 years experience in computerized library operations.

Age Limit (as on last date)

• Scientist-C: 26 years
• Junior Engineer-C: 30 years
• Library Assistant-C: 34 years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years
• Ex-servicemen: Military service + 3 years
• Central/State Govt employees with 3+ years: up to 5 years
• IUAC employees: Group A – 5 years; Group B – up to 40 years (45 for SC/ST)

Salary & Benefits

All posts carry DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, LTC, and medical reimbursement as per IUAC rules.

• Scientist-C: Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) + stipend during training
• Junior Engineer-C: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
• Library Assistant-C: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
