Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/ walkin interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the given criteria.

How to Apply:

1. In continuation to this office Notice dated: 28.05.2022, it is for information of all the concerned candidates that the last date for filling up of Online Application Forms is hereby extended upto 07.06.2022 (11:59PM).

2. Candidates applying for the said examination, can pay their requisite fee either through online mode or by demand draft, favoring "Controller of Examinations, J&K Public Service Commission payable at Srinagar/Jammu"

3. Further, the candidates paying requisite fee through demand draft are directed to submit by hand, details of the online submitted application form along with the requisite documents and Demand Draft at J&K Public Service Commission Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar Jammu/ Solina Srinagar by or before 08.06.2022.

4. The Commission shall not entertain any request after the expiry of the stipulated period i.e. 08.06.2022 (5:00 PM).

5. Furthermore, edit window shall be opened w.e.f. 08.06.2022 to 10.06.2022.

About Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission

Until the end of the year 1954, there was no formal recruiting agency in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission was established on September 2, 1957, with Major General Yadav Nath Singh PVC, as it is first Chairman.

The Chairman and the Members of the Public Service Commission are appointed by the Governor for a period of five years or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.
The functions of the Commission, as defined under section 133 of the Constitution of the State are: - It shall be duty of Commission to conduct examinations for appointments to the services of the State; The Commission shall be consulted: - On all matter relating to methods of recruitment to Civil Services and for Civil posts, On the principles to be followed in making appointments to Civil Services and posts and in making promotions and transfers from one service to another, On all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under the Government including memorials or petitions relating to such matters.
