Educational Qualification & Experience:For Assistant Professors: B.E./B.Tech and Master's with First Class. For Librarian: Master's in Library Science with 55% marks and NET/Ph.D. as specified.

Age Limit:As on 1st January 2026: Maximum 40 years for Open Merit, 43 years for Reserved Categories, 42 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and 40 years for In-service/Government candidates.
Salary (per month):
Pre-revised Pay Scale: ₹15,600 - ₹39,100 + AGP ₹6,000 per month.
Selection Procedure:
- Written Examination: A single paper of 3 hours with 120 Multiple Choice Questions. Syllabus is available on the JKPSC website.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
Application Fee: ₹1,200 for General/OBC, ₹700 for SC/ST, and Nil for PwBD candidates. Fee must be paid online.

Important: The application window is open from 1st August 2026 to 31st August 2026. An editing window for some fields will be available from 1st to 3rd September 2026. No hard copy of the application is required to be sent to the Commission.
