Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• For Civil Engineering Posts:
  
  Degree or AMIE in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
  
  OR
  
  Diploma in Civil Engineering (min 3-year course) with at least 5 years of service as SO Grade-I (or equivalent regular post).




• For Electrical Engineering Posts:
  
  Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
  
  OR
  
  Diploma in Electrical Engineering (min 3-year course) with at least 5 years of service as SO Grade-I (or equivalent regular post).

Age Limit & Relaxation

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2026): Candidates must be between 21 to 38 years of age.

Age Relaxation:

• Government Servants (Manipur Govt): Relaxation to the extent of continuous service put in the post/service.
• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years

Note: No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates in cases where no posts are reserved for these categories.

Selection Process & Exam Structure

The selection will be conducted in two stages:

1. Written Examination
2. Interview

Written Examination Details

Tentative Dates: 04/04/2026 to 06/04/2026

Mode: Likely Offline (OMR based) or Online (CBT) - To be notified in detailed notification.

Exam Pattern: The detailed plan of examination and syllabus will be notified separately. Generally, it consists of papers related to Engineering Discipline and General Studies.

Negative Marking: To be specified in the detailed notification. Candidates should check the official PDF when released.

General Instructions

• Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of Manipur. Candidates whose parents/ancestors are permanent residents with documentary proof (Electoral Roll, Birth Certificate) are also eligible.
• Language: Must be able to speak Manipuri, Meitei/Meetei Lon, or any Tribal Dialect of Manipur.
• Citizenship: Must be a Citizen of India.
• Document Proof: All certificates must be possessed by the closing date (28/02/2026).
• Disability: Candidates with not less than 40% disability are eligible for reservation benefits. A valid disability certificate from competent authority is required.
