- A recognised Dental qualification included in the First or Third Schedule of the Dentists Act, 1948 (e.g., BDS or equivalent).
- Registration with a State Dental Council (Manipur or equivalent).
- Age Limit (as on 23 September 2026):
- General: 21 to 38 years.
- SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years.
- OBC: Relaxation of 3 years.
- PwBD: Relaxation of 10 years.
- Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be able to speak Manipuri (Meetei/Meitei Lon) or any recognised tribal dialect of Manipur.
- Must satisfy the prescribed residence requirements of Manipur (Permanent Resident Certificate).

- Written Examination: 85 multiple-choice questions on Basic Medical Science and Dental Specialty Subjects. Duration: 2 hours. Total marks: 85. Negative marking: 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
- Viva Voce / Interview: 15 marks.
- Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified.
- Final merit will be based on combined marks from the Written Examination and Interview.
- Important: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.
