Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIAS), Kolkata invites applications on the following areas/categories of research for the positions of MAKAIAS Senior Fellow, MAKAIAS Fellow & Research Assistant for the upcoming research calendar of MAKAIAS for the year 2022-23 (onwards).
1. Post Name: MAKAIAS Senior Fellow
2. Essential Qualification:
Ph.D in in Humanities and Social Sciences/ History/ International Relations/ Media/ Indian Literatures from a Recognized University.
3. Experience:
10 to 15 years experience in teaching in an Institution of repute/as a salaried fellow in a Research Institute or 10 to 15 years professional experience in a University/Research Institute / Print & Media Journalism, etc.
4. Tenure/ Duration of the fellowship: Max. Duration: 2 (two), Extendable: by 1 (one)
5. MAKAIAS Senior Fellow of Rs. 50000/- (Fifty Thousand Rupees only) per month and HRA admissible as per GOI Rules

Age Limit: Not exceeding 60 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (relaxable in case of reserved categories as per existing order of the Govt. of India.)
Selection Procedure
The short listed candidates may be called for a personal interview. The candidates called for interviews have to make their own arrangements for travel and stay.

4. Complete application should include;
(i) The research proposal (within 500 words) in one of the areas mentioned above.
(ii) Detailed curriculum vitae comprising academic qualifications, teaching experience, research work done/supervised/initiated and list of publications with names of three referees.
(iii) No objection from present Institution/ organization (if working)
5. The candidates will be required to produce all certificates and testimonials in original for verification at the time of Interview, failing which they may be disqualified for the Interview
