Educational Qualification: BDS, Master of Dental Surgery
Applications are invited for the following post to be filled on "Short Term Contract Basis" under National Resource Centre for Oral Health and Tobacco Cessation at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences. New Delhi from the eligible candidates.
1. Position: Research Officer
2. No of Post: 01
3. Essential Qualification/ Requirement: B.D.S Degree from recognized University/Institute. MDS Degree in Public Health Dentistry from recognized University/Institute. Valid State Dental Council Registration.
4. Desirable Qualification/ Requirement: One year Experience of working in Dental Public Health related projects. Certificate course in Tobacco Cessation or Tobacco Control. At least Two Indexed publication research in Tobacco Control/Cessation related topics. Research experience of minimum one year in the relevant field. Basic knowledge of Computer and Statistical Software's.
5. Remuneration: Consolidated Rs. 60,000/- Per month

Selection Procedure
The Candidates will be shortlisted after scrutiny of documents as per eligibility criteria. The shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Test followed by Interview. Candidates three times the number of vacancy will be called for the interview. Qualifying the written test does not mean selection. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test and interview both.

3. Documents to be attached with the Application form: Self attested copies of certificates in support of Age, Experience, Valid Registration with State Dental Council, Internship Certificate, Marks Statement of MDS and Other Qualifications (Technical/Professional) if any.

At the heart of Central Delhi, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, caters to the dental needs of all those who visit New Delhi. The institute is situated in a spacious campus alongside the city's four prestigious landmark hospitals namely, Maulana Azad Medical College, Lok Nayak Hospital, G. B Pant Hospital and Guru Nanak Eye Centre.
Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences is named after one of the intellectual giants of the Indian history, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India. The Maulana Azad Medical College and Associated Hospitals have been a part of many significant events throughout history. The foundation of Irwin Hospital was laid by Baron Irwin of Kirby Undertale, British Viceroy and governor general of India on 10th January, 1930. The hospital started functioning a few years later. The present O.P.D. block was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Minister of Health D.P. Karmarkaran on 5th April 1961. The hospital was renamed Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital on 6th December, 1997.
