Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification:
  • Option 1: M.Tech. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing/Civil Engg./Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/IT/Agriculture/Mining Engg. with min 60% marks or 6.5 CPI (55% or 6.0 CPI for SC/ST/PwD).
  • Option 2: M.Sc. or equivalent in GIS & Remote Sensing/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Geography/Environmental Science/Computer Science/Mathematics with min 70% or 7.5 CPI (65% or 7.0 CPI for SC/ST/PwD).
  • Option 3: Master of Computer Application (MCA) with min 70% or 7.5 CPI (65% or 7.0 CPI for SC/ST/PwD).
  • Option 4: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with min 70% or 7.5 CPI (65% or 7.0 CPI for SC/ST/PwD).

  Note: Candidates must have Mathematics as a subject up to 10+2 level.

• Selection Requirement: Must be selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship) or GATE, or National level exams conducted by Central Govt (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.).
• Experience: Not explicitly specified, but preference is given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
• Desirable: Candidates may register for Ph.D. if eligible.
