MNNIT Invites Application for Field Assistant Recruitment 2021

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Field Assistant (on contract)in the Department of Science and Technology (DST) India European Union (EU) Consortium Research Project entitled "Sustainable Energy system for Achieving Novel Carbon neutral Energy communities (SUSTENANCE',sanction order: File No. DST/TMD/INDIA/EU/ILES/2020/19(G), dated 30.06.2021, sponsored by DST, Government of India.

3. Minimum Eligibility: 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology/B.Sc. in any branch of Sciences, from a recognized Board/Institute. 

4. Desirable Qualifications: Basic knowledge of solar Photovoltaic (PV) water pumping system. Basic knowledge of using computer for record keeping and operating the basic computer-based applications. Prior experience in Civil related construction works.

5. Job Responsibilities: The working place/demo site is at Barubeda village in Sarle Gram Panchayat, Burmu, Distict- Ranchi, Jharkhand. The candidate has to work at demo site. The candidate will be responsible for: Basic maintenance, management and operation of integrated system: solar-powered water pumping system, data server, other accessories/components, etc.;

a. To monitor, the tasks and daily-basis progress reporting while system installation, such as solar PV water pumping system installation and related Civil works; Look after, PV system, server, and other components of the system installed at demo site. Based on the requirement, the candidate has to travel between demo site and MNNIT Allahabad. The person should be flexible to work: as operator of solar PV water pumping system, and for any projected related works assigned to him. Sincere, honest, regular record keeping and troubleshooting highly desirable

6. Salary: Rs. 20,000/- per month (Consolidated) + 16% HRA

7. Tenure of Appointment A trial period of six months will apply, which on satistactory performance as reported by PICo-PI of the project will be renewed for additional six months. After completion of first year, from date of joining in the project, candidate has to present detailed report on each project task completed/performed, before the evaluation committee. On satisfactory report by the committee, appointment (contract basis) can be extended for another year. The performance of candidate will be evaluated on every subsequent year till the end of project, i.e. December 2024.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date, and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications.
