MP Police Constable Driver Notification 2026

The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board has issued the rulebook for the Constable (Driver) Recruitment 2026 under the Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. A total of 1,000 Constable (Driver) posts are available, of which 200 posts belong to the Special Armed Force and 800 posts are for the District Police Force and other non-Special Armed Force units.

Candidates must be Indian citizens, male, and satisfy the educational qualification, age criteria, and possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence. Applications are accepted only through the MP Online portal from 15 October 2026 to 29 October 2026.

Shortlisting for Stage 2

Candidates meeting the written exam cut-off percentile — up to seven times the advertised vacancies under vertical reservation — will be shortlisted for Stage 2. Candidates with the same cut-off percentile will also be called even if the total exceeds seven times the vacancy count.

Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification & Trade Test

  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Maximum 40 marks; 800-metre run. Minimum qualifying marks: 20% in the run and at least 8 out of 40 total PET marks (30%). One opportunity per candidate.
  • Document Verification: Original eligibility documents will be verified. All certificates must be available by 29 October 2026.
  • Trade Test (Driving): Qualifying in nature — candidates must pass the practical driving trade test for final selection.
  • Final Selection: Based on percentile in the first-stage written exam, subject to qualifying PET, Trade Test, and successful document verification.

Physical Standards (Special Armed Force – General/OBC Male)

  • Height: Minimum 168 cm
  • Chest: 79 cm unexpanded / 84 cm expanded
  • Category-specific standards are prescribed in the official rulebook.

Important Note: Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Madhya Pradesh as per departmental requirements and will not be allotted their home district. A minimum of 5 years of service in a unit is required before transfer eligibility to another unit.
