National Agri Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) Invites Application for Research Associate-I Recruitment 2022

NABI is involved in research activities for the Bio fortification, development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition, and development of evidence based functional foods to counter malnutrition. Food and nutritional Biotechnology division at NABI requires following research personnel purely on temporary basis.

1. Name of the Post: Research Associate I

2. No of Post: 01

3. Project Title: Molecular and biochemical characterization of nutritional enriched transgenic plants.

4. Duration: The RA fellowship is a purely temporary assignment and is tenable for a period of 2 years only, and in exceptional cases, depending upon the progress of the research, the fellowship may be extended to 4 years. Based on the candidate research experience and performance, the committee may recommend the upgradation of RA levels.

5. Essential Qualification: - PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree having three years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M Pharma/ ME/M Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

6. Desired Experience: - Experience in plant tissue culture, Plant gentic engineering, Molecular and Biochemical analyses of transgenic plants. Practical knowledge of gene cloning and expression & purification of recombinant plant proteins. Relevant research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

7. Emoluments: - The RA will be hired as per emoluments’ guidelines and service conditions notified by DST (OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30-01-2019) Rs 47000/ month + HRA)
