Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E
National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR) a premier research centre under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is looking for filling up of a Scientific Officer ‘C’ (Instrumentation) reserved for OBC category.
1. Post Name: Scientific Officer ‘C’
2. Essential Qualification & Experience: BE/B.Tech Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Biomedical Instrumentation (with aggregate of 60% marks) from recognised University/Institute. Three (3) years experience in operation & maintenance of Biological Research Electronic Instruments, Audio Visual systems, Telecom, Centralised gas line systems.
3. Desirable Experience: Should have work experience in a Biological research institute. Should have Experience in operation, maintenance and calibration of spectrophotometers, calorimeters, Fluorometers, HPLC/FPLC machines, PCR, RT-PCR machines, gel documentation system NMR, X-ray FRX and GCMS machines and other research instruments used in biological research.
a. Should have Knowledge about Lecture Hall Audiovisual system, different kinds of LCD, DLP projectors and other AV equipment. Should have good Knowledge about the programming of EPABX and basic maintenance of the system. Should have basic knowledge about operation and maintenance of the centralised gas system and Designing gas line, Compressed airline and Vacuum lines will be added advantage.

5. Level in Pay Matrix: Level 10 (stage-1) Basic Pay: Rs. 56,100/- + allowances as per Central Government norms.

Selection Procedure
The Selection process shall involve two-stage i.e., Written Test/Preliminary Interview and Main Interview. The Main Interview shall be conducted only for those candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in the Written Test/Preliminary Interview. Any change in the recruitment process will be intimated to the candidates in advance. The institute reserves the right not to fill the above posts herein advertised in case suitable candidates are not found. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
