Online applications are invited for project posts to be filled up on purely temporary or contractual basis under various projects at ICMR-NationaI Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Bengaluru. 1. Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow 2. No of Post: 01 3. Salary: Rs. 36,400/- per month 4. Essential: Master in Social Work (MSW) degree holders with two years' research Experience OR MBBS/BDS/ ME/M. Tech (IT / Computer science) degree holders 5. Desirable: (i) Work experience in health research involving proposal development, literature search, data management, data analysis, report writing and grant management. (ii) Knowledge of Statistical software's like Epi info, STATA, SPSS etc. (iii) Knowledge of R and Tableau. 6. Job Description: (a) Setting up of the data platform to facilitate data linkages and analysis. (b) Data formatting and cleaning. (c) Support data analysis through data visualization. 7. Project: Developing a public Health informatics platform in India for a systems view of Health and Diseases" under Epidemiology Data Analytics(EDA) of Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems(ICPS) Programme of the Department of Science & Technology(DST) GOI, New Delhi,' at ICMR-NCDIR, Bengaluru {Initially for a period upto 17-5-2022 and may be extended based on requirement of the organization}

Selection Procedure
1. Late received applications will not be considered. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview/video conferencing, no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview personal discussion and/or video conferencing after verification of essential qualification and experience. Bad connection/ connection failure from any side during interview / personal discussion will not be a responsibility of ICMR-NCDIR, Bengaluru.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview / personal discussion through video conferencing after verification of essential qualification and experience.
4. Date of personal discussion/ video conferencing will be intimated to eligible/ shortlisted candidates
How to Apply:
1. Interested and eligible candidates should apply preferably ONLINE through the website www.ncdirindia.org. Duly filled application affixing recent passport size photograph along with self-attested copies of all relevant certificates and experience should be sent to ICMR-NCDIR, Bengaluru before 30-01-2022 by email ([email protected]). While sending application by email candidates should attach ICMR-NCDIR application format, along with documents related to education and experience in chronological order. (Pdf format)
2. Community/ Caste certificate: Candidates applying under OBC category shall submit self-attested copy of OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in specified format, issued within one year from the closing date of application by the appropriate authority. Only Non-Creamy Layer OBC certificate issued within one year will be - accepted and other certificates will not be accepted.
3. Community/ Caste certificate: Candidates applying under EWS category shall submit self-attested copy of EWS Certificate in specified format, issued within one year from the closing date of application by the appropriate authority. Only EWS certificate issued within one year will be accepted and Other certificates will not be accepted.
4. Incomplete applications, without photograph or without copies of relevant certificates will not be entertained. The Director, ICMR-NCDIR reserves the right to increase or decrease the no. of posts or reject the applications or cancel the notification without assigning any reason thereof.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in interview/video conferencing. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be disqualification.

National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research broad and the overall objective is to sustain and develop a national research database on cancer, diabetes, CVD and stroke through recent advances in electronic information technology with a national collaborative network, so as to undertake aetiological, epidemiological, clinical and control research in these areas.
NCDIR Plans, directs, develops, supports, coordinates and evaluates a national programme of cancer surveillance involving the collection and analysis of reliable data on magnitude and patterns of cancer so as to answer key questions about cancer incidence and mortality in different population.

Interested candidates can pursue courses in Master’s Degree in Computer Application, Information Technology, Computer Science from recognized University OR B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology; Bachelors Degree in Statistics / Biostatistics and M.Sc Degree in Statistics / Biostatistics; Graduate in any subject; 12th pass in Science Stream with mathematics as a subject + speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer; 12th Pass + A typing speed of 35 WPM in English and 30 WPM in Hindi on computer OR 10500 key Depressions per hour in English /9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi.
