Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Faculty (Observatory Support)

  • Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy or a related subject.
  • Experience: Significant experience in handling radio astronomical data. Good understanding of radio telescopes and instrumentation.
  • Job Profile: The selected candidate is expected to spend about 75% of the time on activities like user support, telescope operations, and instrumentation debugging and commissioning tests. The remaining 25% is meant for research in astronomy.
