Applications are invited for the project posts mentioned below from the eligible candidates in the prescribed proforma appended. No. NIE/PE/Advt/January-2022/03 A) Name of the post: Project Scientist – C (Medical/Non-medical) # B) Name of the project: India Hypertension Control Initiative – MRHRU C) Number of vacancies: 01 (UR) D) Place of posting: MRHRU, Una, Himachal Pradesh (1) (Place of posting can be in any district depending on the project requirement) 1. Essential Qualification Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one year experience OR Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with two year’s experience OR M.B.B.S degree with 4 year’s experience in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology after obtaining MBBS Degree 2. Desirable Qualification and Experience A Doctorate or a Post Graduate Degree MD/MPH/MAE in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology / Public Health from a recognized University/ Institute Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute(s) Experience of surveillance activity research, including monitoring and supervision Knowledge of Computer applications and statistical Packages. 3. Remuneration Medical: Rs. 66,775/- (Himachal Pradesh) 4. Nature of Duties Overall coordination of all project activities Reviews and coordination with the district and state level officials. Training of all staff in health facilities – doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health workers Data analysis and preparation of monthly reports Field visits at least 15 days a month to project sites Any other work assigned by the Director/PI 5. Duration Up to 31.07.2022 (May be extended on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project) A) NON-MEDICAL 1. Essential Qualification First class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology in recognized unitversity with four years’ experience in relevant field. OR Second class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology with PhD with four years experience in relevant field. 2. Desirable Qualification and Experience Working knowledge in the area of disease surveillance and project management. Good communication skills: scientific writing as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and official communications. Knowledge of literature review using reference managers, data handling, analysis, interpretation and report writing. Working knowledge of statistical software including SPSS/Stata/R. Working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi. 3. Remuneration Non-Medical: Rs. 53,220/- (Himachal Pradesh) 4. Project Technical Assistant - Date of Written test / Online Interview Will be intimated later
How to Apply:

b) Instructions to the candidates for Online Interview
1. The application should be as per the prescribed format.
2. Candidates should attach photocopies of educational qualification and experience and other testimonials duly self – attested along with filled application.
3. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application.
4. Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment. Appointment order, pay slip will not be accepted in place of experience certificate. Experience certificate should contain designation, salary per month and duration.
5. No-Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).
6. The above said post is Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
7. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
8. TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the written test/interview.
9. The Director, ICMR-NIE reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any reasons thereof, no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
10. Candidates are advised to check ICMR – NIE website regularly for further information or changes, which will be updated from time to time.
11. Date, time and place of interview will be intimated by Email separately to the eligible candidates.
12. Incomplete applications and applications without relevant enclosures will be out rightly rejected.
