National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) Invites Application for Project Scientist-C Recruitment 2022

D) Place of posting: MRHRU, Una, Himachal Pradesh (1) (Place of posting can be in any district depending on the project requirement)

1. Essential Qualification Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one year experience OR Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with two year’s experience OR  M.B.B.S degree with 4 year’s experience in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology after obtaining MBBS Degree

2. Desirable Qualification and Experience A Doctorate or a Post Graduate Degree MD/MPH/MAE in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology / Public Health from a recognized University/ Institute Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute(s) Experience of surveillance activity research, including monitoring and supervision Knowledge of Computer applications and statistical Packages.

3. Remuneration Medical: Rs. 66,775/- (Himachal Pradesh)

4. Nature of Duties Overall coordination of all project activities Reviews and coordination with the district and state level officials. Training of all staff in health facilities – doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health workers Data analysis and preparation of monthly reports Field visits at least 15 days a month to project sites Any other work assigned by the Director/PI

5. Duration Up to 31.07.2022 (May be extended on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project)

A) NON-MEDICAL

1. Essential Qualification First class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology in recognized unitversity with four years’ experience in relevant field. OR Second class Masters degree in Public Health/Epidemiology with PhD with four years experience in relevant field.

2. Desirable Qualification and Experience Working knowledge in the area of disease surveillance and project management. Good communication skills: scientific writing as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and official communications. Knowledge of literature review using reference managers, data handling, analysis, interpretation and report writing. Working knowledge of statistical software including SPSS/Stata/R. Working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.

3. Remuneration Non-Medical: Rs. 53,220/- (Himachal Pradesh)
