Educational Qualification: Associate Advisor: Advance degree in Public Health (Masters or above) with a specialty or concentration in epidemiology, health systems, public health interventions. Training in qualitative & quantitative research methods and mathematical modeling. Advanced training in the field of Vaccinology.
Senior Research Scientist: An advance degree (Masters or PhD) in Epidemiology / Public Health / Community Medicine or closely related field and must include quantitative components of epidemiology and statistics.
Senior Research Scientist:Advanced degree (Masters or above) in Microbiology/ Infectious Disease / Public Health / Community Medicine or closely related field.
Research Scientist – Immunology: Advanced degree (Masters or above) in the field of Immunology / Clinical Virology / Medial Microbiology or related field
Experience: Associate Advisor: Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Public Health with at least 5 years in the field of immunization and vaccines at national or global level, Experience of conducting applied research, qualitative research and systematic reviews, summarizing complex data, preferably in the field of Immunization / Vaccines / Infectious Disease.
Senior Research Scientist: Minimum 5-7 years of experience of in interpreting of epidemiological data, strong quantitative, ability to distil insights from large amount of data and advanced proficiency with Excel and STATA / SPSS / Python / MATLAB / SAS. Preferably in the field of Immunization / Vaccines / Infectious Disease.

The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), was established on 9th March, 1977 by the merger of two national level institutions, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP). The NIHFW, an autonomous organization, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, acts as an ‘apex technical institute’ as well as a ‘think tank’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes in the country.
The Institute addresses a wide range of issues on health and family welfare from a variety of perspectives through the departments of Communication, Community Health Administration, Education and Training, Epidemiology, Management Sciences, Medical Care and Hospital Administration, Population Genetics and Human Development, Planning and Evaluation, Reproductive Bio-Medicine, Statistics and Demography and Social Sciences.
